Every design comes in nine sizes. The size is the exact cut size of the steel, width × height — there is no frame or border to add. This page shows what each size looks like in a room.
The nine sizes
The two-thirds rule
A piece hung above furniture should be roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. A 220 cm sofa wants a piece around 140 cm wide — which for us means a multi-panel set, or a single 100 cm piece hung slightly above centre. A 160 cm bed wants 100–110 cm. A 90 cm console wants 60 cm.
In a room
Above a sofa: 80–100 cm, centred, bottom edge 20–25 cm above the backrest.
Above a bed: 70–90 cm, or a pair of 40 cm pieces either side.
Entryway or hallway: 50–60 cm at eye level (centre 150–155 cm from the floor).
If you are between two sizes
Go larger. The most common message we get after delivery is “I should have gone one size up.” Metal art reads smaller on a wall than the number suggests, because it is a line, not a filled rectangle.
Sets
For multi-panel sets the size is the whole set as hung, gaps included. The panels themselves are proportionally smaller; the paper template in the box marks every hole.
