Cat in Frame — metal wall art

Animal & Bird Metal Wall Art

Birds in flight, cats, fish and one phoenix. Animal metal wall art is the collection that sells as a gift more than any other — an animal piece carries affection without carrying a statement, which is why it ends up on more walls than the buyer’s own.

What is in this collection
Birds. Flying birds is the most-ordered design in the whole catalogue: each bird is a separate piece and you set the spacing yourself. Bats are the same idea with a different silhouette and come out every October. The raven is a single large bird rather than a flock. The phoenix is the largest and most detailed piece here.
Cats. The single-line cat, the cat in a frame and the cat in a tree. All three are small-format designs and are the pieces most often bought at 20–30 cm.
Fish. The fish and the yin-yang koi — the koi is the one people hang in bathrooms and by water.

Hanging a flock
The birds and the bats are not one picture cut into pieces; they are separate silhouettes, and the arrangement is yours. What works: run them diagonally, start dense and let the gaps widen so the flock appears to be leaving the wall. What does not work: an even row at equal spacing, which reads as a border.
Lay the whole set out on the floor first and photograph it before you touch the wall. Then hang the largest bird first and build outward from it. Every piece comes with its own fixing, so nothing about the arrangement is permanent in practice — but plaster remembers.

Sizing
The cats and fish are small-format designs and hold together at 20–40 cm — these are the pieces to buy for a shelf wall, a hallway or a child’s room. The phoenix and the raven want size: below 50 cm the feather detail closes up and the bird turns into a shape. For a flock, the size shown is the size of the largest bird, not the span of the arrangement — see the size guide, which lists both.

Which finish
Black is the default for birds — a silhouette against a pale wall is the whole idea. Gold and bronze suit the koi and the phoenix, both of which were drawn with warm metal in mind. White works for a flock on a dark wall, where black birds would disappear into the paint. The finish guide shows all five on one design.

How these are made
Drawn in the studio, laser-cut from sheet steel, deburred by hand and powder-coated to your finish. Cut to order in 3–5 business days, 5–7 in transit, free worldwide shipping with duties included to the US, EU and UK. Hardware and a paper template are in the box; how to hang metal wall art covers wall types. Outdoor use is fine on every piece here — see materials and care.
